Project Coordinator & Digital Measurement Technician

About the Role

In-Home digital templating of door openings using a custom programmed Scanning/Digital Templating machine – training provided

In-Home material take-off outlining all materials and labour required to complete project installations

Completion of all GIDC templating and hardware forms to ensure correct materials are ordered for each project

Complete a post templating and material review with the customer reconfirming scope of work and setting customer expectations

Review sales documents and material take-offs to ensure order accuracy; then work with the Controller/Materials Department to ensure correct products are ordered

Receive materials and review for quality and accuracy

Supervise/review the picking of orders to ensure correct materials are allocated for their respective orders

Review installation requirements with each team to ensure the they have the correct materials and documentation to complete the installation without revisits or repairs

Regularly visit installation teams on-site to ensure they are meeting and/or exceeding the GIDC installation standards

Liaise between the sales teams and the installation teams whenever an issue requires clarification

Adjust GIDC standards to improve installation quality and customer satisfaction

Attend repair/warranty visits to identify common issues and implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to prevent re-occurrence.

  • Has worked in the door, trim, closet, granite, cabinetry or window industry

  • Previous on-site installation experience

  • Sense of urgency with respect to completing installations within the allotted schedule

  • Highly dependable and on-time

  • Strong communication skills


Mandatory Requirements:


  • Drivers licence with a clear driver’s abstract

  • Clean criminal check

  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English

  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Experience in construction management and customer relations
